Acquired Brain Injury Ireland has a strong board which provides support and direction to the management team. The Board includes experienced healthcare professionals and business people and many of the Board have personal experience of ABI.

| Maurice O’Connell |
Chairman of the Board, and co-founder of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (formerly the Peter Bradley Foundation), Maurice is the Chief Executive of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. He is also chairman of Alzheimer Europe. He is Vice Chair of DFI and a board member of NAI. Maurice has a Masters in Psychology, extensive experience in the voluntary and community sector and third level education. |
| Michael Lyons |
One of Ireland’s most senior figures in healthcare. Michael worked as a Senior Civil Servant in the Dept. of Health & Children, and was Regional Chief Executive of the ERHA/HSE Eastern Region, and CEO of the East Coast Area Health Board. He was also Chief Executive of Our Lady's Hospice, Harold’s Cross and more recently was Chief Executive Officer of Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. Michael is currently acting as Project Manager for a Counselling Service and is a member of a number of boards in the Healthcare sector. |

Consultant Speech & Language Therapist with over 28 years experience in acquired brain injury. She served as Speech & Language Therapist manager at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) and as Board member at NRH. Paula is subject matter expert for SLT SKILL modules and lecturer & trainer in ABI – undergraduate, post graduate, family & carer training. She is also one of the founding members of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (formerly the Peter Bradley Foundation) and a sister of Peter Bradley. |
| Frances Stephenson |
Mediator, Conflict Coach and Training Consultant. As a Mediator, specialising in workplace and elder mediation, Frances works in a confidential and non-judgemental way and remains impartial in helping the parties in dispute reach a mutually acceptable solution. Frances designs and develops training in communications, conflict management and performance management and also specialises in outplacement and career development. Frances is a board member of the Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital and the Mediators Institute of Ireland. |

Dan has broad management experience in a number of sectors specifically in the area of property and estates management of significant portfolios. This includes 20 years experience in the healthcare sector managing a range of office, training, care and residential facilities as well as the project management of a diverse programme of capital investments in Ireland and the UK. Since 2006 Dan has worked in property management within the financial services sector. |
| Diarmaid Ó Corrbuí |
Management consultant with over 20 years experience as a management consultant with strong skills and experience in strategy development & implementation, corporate governance, business planning, programme management and business operations. Diarmaid acts in a business advisory role to senior management across a range of sectors including healthcare and the not-for-profit sector. He is also chairperson of Ruhama, a not for profit organisation that works with women affected by prostitution.

| Gerard Daly | Gerard Daly worked with the Civil Service (Department of Social Protection) for over 36 years, in a variety of management positions. He has extensive senior management experience encompassing general/operational management, project management, and programme management. Holder of a professional accountancy qualification, Gerard is currently contracted to the Mental Health Commission as part of the Mental Health Tribunal service. |
