Acquired Brain Injury Ireland recognises the very important role that research plays in the development of services that are effective and based on international best practice.

The organisation facilitates research which advances knowledge and understanding of Acquired Brain Injury in Ireland.

We do this in two ways. Firstly, we make available information on current and past research projects to our members, their families and interested parties.

Secondly we facilitate, where appropriate, the active participation of people using our service and their families in research projects.

To ensure the interests of participants in such research projects are protected, the research committee considers all such requests.
