Golf Classic & Bank of Ireland Staff raise €16,500 Acquired Brain Injury Ireland
Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (formerly the Peter Bradley Foundation), which provides support and services to people with acquired brain injury (ABI), has received a cheque for €11,500 from the organisers of a golf classic which was held at Luttrellstown Castle Golf Course recently. The event was organised by Padraic Brennan from Castleknock. Padraic’s colleagues at Bank of Ireland, St Stephens Green, have also donated €5,000 to the Foundation making the total money raised €16,500.
Padraic chose to fundraise for Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, as his wife Emer is a client with the Foundation’s Community Service and he has seen the good work of the Foundation first hand. Approximately 80 people took part in the golf classic which was followed by a meal and an auction, the proceeds from which added to the overall funds raised on the night. MC on the night was Eamon Coughlan.
Donnchadh Whelan, Regional Manager with Acquired Brain Injury Ireland said, “We are extremely grateful to Padraic, his colleagues at Bank of Ireland and everyone who helped to raise this money. The funds will contribute to providing essential services for people with ABI.”
