What is Abseil for Brain Injury?

Abseil for Brain Injury is a unique opportunity to do something totally different while raising money that will make a huge difference to brain injury survivors.

This is a chance for you to do something that you will remember forever while making a difference to brain injury survivors.

It means abseiling 190 feet down the iconic Smithfield tower on Saturday, March 29th 2025.

If the event is postponed for any reason, a new date will be scheduled.

This event is for anybody who is fit and able to take part and is aged 12 or over.

On the day, an expert team will be managing and controlling the abseil.

We require a €25 registration fee and require participants to fundraise a minimum of €250 prior to the event.

When does it take place?

It takes place on Saturday, March 29th, 2025. If for any reason it can’t go ahead on that day it will be arranged for a later date.

Are there any registration or participation fees?

There is a €25 registration fee for Abseil for Acquired Brain Injury. We require you to fundraise a minimum of €250 before the event.

Is there a fundraising target?

There is a minimum fundraising target of €250 on top of a €25 fee to secure your place. This will cover the costs as well as providing funds to brain injury survivors. We would encourage you to raise as much as you can and have the target set at the amount you think you can achieve.

How do I fundraise?

We are asking all participants to fundraise by setting up a fundraising page when you register. Remember to edit your page to share information about your event and encourage friends and family to donate to you. We can also provide you with a sponsorship card if you’d like to take donations in person from people.

How will Acquired Brain Injury Ireland use the funds I have raised?

The money you raise will make a big difference to the lives of the 120,000 people in Ireland with an acquired brain injury today. These funds are essential to our variety of services for people living with a brain injury as well as their families and their carers.
