At Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, we have operational and governance processes in place to ensure that we work in an open and transparent manner. We are governed by a Constitution and our independent, non-executive Board of Directors is committed to maintaining best practice in corporate governance.

We are excited to share that Hugh O’Connor has been appointed as the Interim Chairperson for our Board. Hugh’s experience and insight as a member of the Board will be of great value over the coming months as we prepare our new five-year strategy.

We would like to thank Clair Cullinan, our outgoing Chair, for her commitment to the organisation and her strong leadership over the last three years.

We are also delighted to welcome new Director, Lorraine McCarthy to our Board of Directors. Lorraine brings a wealth of expertise to her role, including in areas of governance, risk and compliance.

We would also like to acknowledge the significant contribution of outgoing Director Niamh Cahill, whose powerful advocacy on behalf of the brain injury community has been invaluable.
