Tax Efficient Giving
You can give extra funding to Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, without donating any additional money! If you have donated to us within the last four years, more funds can be sent to support brain injury survivors and their families with just a simple signature.
Tax back criteria
When you give €250 or more in one year, Acquired Brain Injury Ireland can claim an extra 45% in tax back on your generous donations. That’s a minimum of €112.33 in additional vital funds to aid our work with brain injury survivors. All you need to do is sign and return a Taxback Form so we can unlock these funds.
For Acquired Brain Injury Ireland to claim tax back on your donations, you must have:
- Donated €250 or more to our organisation in one year (January to December), within the last four years.
- Paid tax (PAYE or self-assessed) for the relevant year(s).
- Donated yourself directly, rather than by sponsoring a friend or taking part in a raffle or collection.
Tax Back Scheme
All taxpayers (PAYE and Self-assessed) are now eligible for this tax back scheme. One form will now cover you for five years. One standard tax rate applies for everyone.
Wedding Favours
We are indebted to those who choose to donate to Acquired Brain Injury Ireland in lieu of traditional wedding favours. As you start your life as a married couple, you can take great comfort in knowing that you are helping brain injury survivors and their families to rebuild their lives.
Your guests are sure to appreciate your kind gesture. With 52 people acquiring a brain injury every day, it is likely that someone invited to celebrate with you has been personally affected by brain injury. In return for your special donation, we will provide tent cards to display in whatever way you choose.
A suggested minimum donation is €250. We understand that everyone’s personal circumstances and wedding budget are different, and any donation you wish to make will create a life-changing difference to brain injury survivors.
