Christmas Hat Day

Use your head to support Acquired Brain Injury Ireland with Christmas Hat Day! Take part to raise some Christmas cheer and some important funds for the work we do.

Get out the tinsel, dust off your Santa hat or grab some reindeer antlers! Whatever it is, just pop it on your head. Then choose how to celebrate and fundraise.

You could host a Christmas party, have a coffee morning in work or school or take part in a Christmas market or fair.

Feel free to get inventive and hold your Christmas Hat Day in the way that works best for you.

Get your thinking cap on and decide how you’ll get your head in the game to celebrate Christmas Hat Day!

Whatever you choose to do you’ll be raising awareness and money for Acquired Brain Injury Ireland while you have some festive fun!

Sign up and you’ll receive your fundraising pack with your very own Acquired Brain Injury Ireland Christmas Hat to get you started 🎅.

If you can’t do it on December 1st choose a date in December that works best for you.  Simply register today to get started.

Let’s ‘sleigh’ this fundraiser with some festive headgear!

How to take part

  • Host a Christmas Hat Day at home:

Get friends, neighbours or family together to celebrate. Invite everyone over for a fun gathering where they wear their favourite hat. You could give away a prize to the person with the most absurd choice of hat. Just like a coffee morning but with a hat themed twist.

  • Have a Christmas Hat Day at work:

Everyone at work can wear a unique and fun hat in celebration of the day and and during your coffee break everyone can have some treats and compare headgear. Everyone makes a small donation and has some fun.

  • Have a Christmas Hat Day in School:

A lot like a non-uniform day but this time students are invited to show off their headgear to support brain injury survivors.

You can get creative and make your own hat, or simply wear a hat you already own and love or go out and get some new special Christmas headgear.

However and wherever you choose to have your Christmas Hat Day is up to you!

It’s creative:

You could buy a nice Christmas hat or some antlers to wear on the day or make your own hat if your handy.
Another option would be for people to wear a hat that represents their sports team or county if they own one already.
Everyone has a hat somewhere at home so just dig one out and wear it on the day!

It’s expressive:

Whoever you are, and however you wear your hair, there’s a hat out there for you! You can show off your unique style with your choice.
It all makes a difference. By raising awareness and funds on the day you are helping Acquired Brain Injury Ireland to continue to help more people across Ireland who need our support.

It’s for a great cause:

The money you raise from will help Acquired Brain Injury Ireland fund a range of important services to help people with a brain injury.
