Commitment to Development of Neurorehabilitation Services among Agreed Programme For Development Initiatives

We were pleased to see a commitment to the development of neurorehabilitation services included in the new Programme for Government, which was approved this week.

The programme references, among other initiatives:
  •  the implementation of community-based neurorehabilitation across #Ireland
  • a continued focus on ending the practice of placing young people with disabilities in nursing homes
  • ongoing investment in programmes to support people living with disabilities to return to work and education
  • work to address funding challenges and the sustainability of our sector, so that organisations like ABI Ireland can continue to deliver in the community

We look forward to working with our elected representatives to support and ensure delivery on these commitments, which have the potential to make a significant difference in the lives of brain injury survivors.
