Join us to explore ‘innovative arts in acquired brain injury’ at the LexIcon Library this October.
On Tuesday, 8 October Acquired Brain Injury Ireland will curate a special session as part of the third edition of Creative Brainwaves: a series of talks and workshops exploring how our engagement in various creative arts can benefit our brain health.
This special session, which is free to attend, will include contributions from:
- Kathleen Brennan: author of ‘Dash defeats the cloak of fa-teeg’, a resource book for school children, and former member of the Case Management and On With Life programme teams at Acquired Brain Injury Ireland
- Liam Lynch: artist and survivor of acquired brain injury
- Alanna O’Connor: speech and language therapist and member of the Acquired Brain Injury Ireland creATe digital assistive technology programme teamz
- Gráinne McGettrick: Director of Policy and Research and Global Atlantic Fellow for Equity at the Global Brain Health Institute, Trinity College Dublin
The talk takes place from 11am – 1pm in the Studio Theatre, dlr LexIcon Library, Moran Park, Dún Laoghaire, A96 H283.
