Join the Woof Walking Movement this May to Support Survivors of Brain Injury

This May, we are inviting dog lovers across the country to take part in Woof Walkers: walk 31 miles over the month of May for brain injury awareness.

This event is a fun and meaningful way to raise vital funds to support brain injury survivors, one walk at a time. Dogs have a unique ability to connect with people, especially those living with brain injuries. Their calming presence, unconditional love and infectious energy can bring comfort and motivation to those navigating the challenges of recovery. That’s why this event is more than just a daily stroll – it’s a movement for healing and hope.

Why It Matters

  • Boosts Brain and Body Health: Daily dog walks stimulate brain function, release feel-good endorphins, and support mental well-being.
  • Strengthens Bonds: Interacting with dogs has been shown to lower stress levels and increase feel-good hormones like serotonin and dopamine.
  • Supports Recovery: Many of our service users have experienced the grounding, therapeutic benefits of spending time with dogs during their rehabilitation.

Whether it’s the routine of walking or the joy of companionship, the positive impact is real—for both human and hound.
